Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho on Sunday said that the Controversy over hoisting of flag at St Jacinto Island may have been closed but it was shameful that some people chose to oppose the Navy from hoisting the National flag at the Island.
" The Controversy over hoisting of flag at St Jacinto Island may have been closed but it was shameful that some people chose to oppose the Navy from hoisting the National flag at the Island. You may give umpteen number of excuses but no excuse is good enough to prevent an organisatuon like Navy from merely hoisting a flag and it is shameful and exposes the mindset of a few leaders who were involved and these are the people who spread venom in the society . These are the people who spread poison in people by dividing them on communal and religious lines and then point fingers at the BJP. These are the very people who are trying to sow seeds of poison for division in society and people must be very careful with them " said Godinho
Godinho said that a large number of youth had participated in the cycle rally indicating the strength of youth in Dabolim constituency
"Whether youth or the women ,all our units are fully charged and geared up and the actual election victory indications begin from Dabolim and move to mormugao Taluka and finally across Goa. BJP has the backing of people because of a large number of development at state and centre leading to several reforms . We have shown how the Government has given all inclusive development with a feel good factor and this has made India beong looked upon as a developed country" said Godinho
