This week writer Meghan Fitzmartin retconned Tim Drake’s sexuality. The oft-forgotten Robin is now bisexual. What does this mean for Tim Drake moving forward? Substack has now poached the writers of Amazing Spider-Man, Batman and X-Men. James Tynion IV, Scott Snyder, Jonathan Hickman, Chip Zdarsky and others announced they are signing with Substack to create digital comics for the upstart platform. Comic book creators continue expressing disappointment in DC and Marvel for not fully compensating them for creations used to inspire Billions of dollars in ticket sales and drive streaming subscriptions. DC Comics are delivering more Batman than ever before in November 2021. Robin & Batman, Justice League Incarnate, Dark Knights of Steel and Robins all star Batman and related characters. Todd McFarlane’s King Spawn #1 received 500k orders for comic shops. A special 1/250 signed CGC graded variant cover accounts for a substantial portion of enthusiasm for the comic. James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad flopped hard at the box office after Warner Bros. released it in movie theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously.
