Mont Choisy Le Mall The trendy shopping center in Mauritius

Mont Choisy Le Mall has always been the other, other, shopping center in Grand Baie, but it feels like they are rebranding into what I want to call a destination restaurant, but it has so much more to offer. Best know for Saffron Grill it has grown into a foodie paradise. Great places to eat and exquisite shopping it is now the trendy shopping center of Mauritius.

It is on Mont Choisy boulevard, and it's called Mont Choisy Le Mall, but whatever you call it it's a great place. We started with a look at the new Luigi's, the pizza and pasta guys, now in a beautiful location with a great restaurant. They are next to some great restaurants, Master Sensai Japanese food, and Sultan Turkish Grill. In what I think of as the restaurant zone.

There is also Saffron Grill with the weekend special buffet at 340 rupees and Exquisitely Iced for all your cake decorating needs, but they also do double-thick milkshakes in salted caramel. Moving further into the Mall they have Rhajastan heirloom, which has simply the most beautiful home decor stuff in wood.

There is a health store, obviously, I really tried to avoid it, but you can get paleo, gluten-free, non-dairy, raw and other food stuffs. A couple of other shops I can't remember like gardening and makeup and shoes until you arrive at Pote Age next to the pharmacy. Pote Age means old friend and it supplies organic staff and fresh fruit, veg, and fish.

Across from this is the two greatest stores ever paired. Le Connoisseur of Oxenhams and La Itatiano or something like that. Cheese and wine and beer and cured meats. Wow did we enjoy that. I disrupted an Italian woman as she tried to make the world's greatest cheese and meat platter, and I know she is Italian because she kept feeding me, a proper Italian woman. We end up taking a few of the butt and leg meats home and it really did go well with a beer.

Mont Choisy Le Mall can no longer be called the other, other, shopping center. They have chosen a great path to become a destination for food lovers and trendsetters. With the choice of food and shopping, you will struggle to find anywhere else. The revitalized Mont Choisy Le Mall has truly become the place to find something great and a must-visit.
