Oh no! Lots of shouting & a splash as Loch of the Lowes Osprey chick LR1 drops her fish 6 Aug 2021

Around 21.05 this evening, LR1 is alone on the nest calling loudly for fish, must have seen mum NC0 catching fish, which is duly delivered to the nest. It's seized to loud screaming, and she departs quickly as brother LR2 arrives, leaving both chicks making lots of noise. The chick in possession, LR1 tucks in while the other keeps calling, but about ten minutes later she decides it's better to eat elsewhere and departs with the fish. However as she flies off, she drops the fish, it falls into the water with a loud splash, and she arrives on her chosen tree minus her dinner! Her brother just watches it all from the nest, probably thinking 'I could have had it for my dinner, why did you do that?!'
