1. Bhitarkanika To Open For Tourists
In a good news for animal lovers, the Bhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapara district will be thrown open to tourists from next week i.e. August 5. The visitors will be allowed to enter the wildlife sanctuary with strict adherence to protocols. However, tourists will not be allowed to spend nights at the park.
2. PV Sindhu Win Bronze In Olympic
Indian shuttler PV Sindhu won the bronze medal in women's singles badminton at the Tokyo Olympics on Sunday. Sindhu defeated China's He Bingjao 21-13, 21-15 at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza to add a second medal to India's tally at the Olympics.
3. Indian Men Hockey Team Enters Semifinals
The Indian men's hockey team defeated Great Britain 3-1 in a quarterfinal match to qualify for the semifinals of Olympics Games after 49 years here on Sunday. India scored three field goals through Dilpreet Singh (7th minute), Gurjant Singh (16th) and Hardik Singh (57th) to seal the win for the eight-time Olympic champions. The lone goal for Great Britain was scored by Sam Ward in the 45th minute.
