Schluter® DITRA under Tile in a Bathroom l PLAN LEARN BUILD

The days of laying cement board or hardi-backer under tile for a bathroom floor are pretty much over. There are a few exceptions to where cement board is still a viable option, but for the most part, using Schluter Ditra for an underlayment for a tiled bathroom floor is the best way to go. It not only helps to prevent cracks from expansion and contraction of wood subfloors, but it also completely waterproofs the bathroom.
