This harmless lady has been roaming around the campus of our Apartment complex for days. People have been afraid of her, as they may some times get aggressive and attack. It's natural to be afraid of monkeys when they swing into open balconies and make a mess.
But this docile little dear was just looking for food. She's pregnant and it was clearly visible to us when she came looking for food at the vegetable stall in the apartment.
The vendor, a spirited young pregnant woman herself, observed the monkey's condition, asked her silly brother to not chase the monkey away and watched calmly as the monkey felt around for a good piece of fruit. It chose a mango.
Soon after, it went a few feet away and started peeling and eating the fruit. The busy vegetables stall, for a few minutes fell completely silent. There was absolutely no sound. All of us watched her eat. This picture is a lucky shot as she moved away just after I clicked it. ☺️
Food is all we have and all that's needed to live on. Everything else is superficial. Eat well, feed well and be kind to every living being.
