The income tax department had launched a new income tax portal. The taxpayers can now e-file and make other tax compliances through the new website. If you have to view the Form 26AS, you can download it from the new portal. Form 26AS is a statement that provides a consolidated view of the total income earned by you as a deductee from various sources. Taxpayer’s data such as Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Tax Collected at Source (TCS) can be viewed from this statement. Apart from tax deductions other tax details such as, advance tax, self-assessment tax, tax refunds, Specified Financial Transactions (SFT), etc., all such tax related information appears in Form 26AS.
