Four finalists presented their proposals on an improved version of People and Expertise Finder in ADB highlighting the following points:
1. Expertise Locator: offers modern technical solution that will allow to: (i) quickly and accurately identify team members with relevant skills and experience by building upon existing information resources and collecting additional relevant information; (ii) make it easier for staff to interact in the new working arrangements that constrain face-to-face contacts; and (iii) support management initiatives related to cultural transformation. The concept aims to minimize the staff involvement and maximize the data extraction from existing sources.
2. Tandemic: offers referral system based on human recommendations (people are at the center of this approach) and building a community of curators. The users will be able to search for expertise, view an expert's mini-profile, post a request, view a request, use tags to monitor 'watch lists', get recognition as a referrer, and 'buy coffee' to reward a referrer.
3. Ibbaka: Offers skills and competency management platform based on AI to scrape data from existing sources of data (including pdf) using Skills Graph (to extract skills and expertise from LinkedIn or public domain with permission of the user). Ibbaka’s platform for expertise management has three key modules: (i) profiles, which show expertise at an individual, team and organizational level, (ii) modeling that supports the design and management of expertise frameworks, and (iii) team building module that is used to find people with the right expertise for teams.
4. Viva: Microsoft Viva is an employee experience platform that brings together communications, knowledge, learning, resources, and insights. It bring different platforms into one integrated experience and suggests to integrate Microsoft-based platforms using AI-generated expertise and productivity information.
ADB team (Expertise Locator) was selected as the best proposal to implement the pilot with a partner team to be contracted as a consultant.
