National Party is ‘the hope of the side’ on possibility of net zero target

Sky News host Alan Jones says the National Party is the “hope of the side” when it comes to the possibility of Australia committing to net zero by 2050.

“For us, Glasgow is a national economic suicide note,” Mr Jones told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

Pressure is building for Scott Morrison to commit Australia to the emissions reduction target, however the Nationals are still holding out on a net zero agreement after a four-hour party room meeting on Sunday produced no outcome.
