What F1 Legends Think Of Max Verstappen

What F1 Legends Think Of Max Verstappen

He’s Max by name, and max by nature.

Max Verstappen, who debuted in Formula One as the sport's youngest ever contender at the age of 17, pushed his vehicle, his competitors, and the sport's record books to their limits. With his natural racing style, the baby-faced Dutchman with the heart of a lion seized the Toro Rosso (and later the Red Bull) by the horns. With an opportunistic but controlled drive on debut for Red Bull in Barcelona 2016, F1's youngest points scorer quickly became the sport's youngest race winner - at the age of 18 years and 228 days. Another spectacular performance from the rear of the field to the podium on a difficult wet circuit in Brazil kept the praise pouring in. Verstappen's no-holds-barred attitude and tough defending have gotten him in trouble with his peers and bosses on occasion. However, the early blunders that harmed his potential have given way to maturity, while the boldness and intensity that made him a blockbuster talent have stayed — and the victories have continued to roll in.

The bar for the next generation's guiding light is set extremely high, but with Verstappen, the sky appears to be the limit. What do Formula One legends have to say about Max Verstappen
