Its being called a dirty war. Facing off are the European Union and Europe’s last dictator the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko. The two sides are locked in a tense conflict along Poland’s eastern border.
Thousands of migrants – most from the Middle East – have quite literally been dumped there. Many say they want to make their way to Germany. Poland, though, has adopted a tough approach, designed to keep its borders closed. And it’s being suggested that Vladimir Putin is pulling the strings in the conflict in another bid to destabilize the EU. Meanwhile, the refugees are largely forced to fend for themselves in freezing conditions. So, on to the point, we ask: Hybrid warfare with migrants: Who can stop Lukashenko?
