Im talking about the business of being a combat veteran for VA rating purposes.
The Veterans Benefits Administration will make the determination if you are a combat veteran or not.
First they look at your DD-214 to see if your branch of service acknowledged that you were in an active duty war zone.
If the war zone you were in is plastered all over the comments section of your DD-214 you have got the presumption of being a combat veteran.
When you file a VA claim at some point in the future, you will get the presumption of being a combat veteran because you're DD-214 will reflect which qualifying war zone you were in.
The VA only recognizes one type of combat veteran and that is combat veteran. You are or you’re not.
