Why Putin is not an excellent leader

There's a saying that an excellent leader is surrounded by people who aren't afraid to tell him like it is.

Putin is evidence of the opposite: rather than surrouding himself of capable advisors, he's chosen "yes men" and enablers.

Even when his Intelligence Chief tried to tell him that "they should give the west a chance" before invading Ukraine, Putin chose to go with his instincts and invade Ukraine anyway.

Now, a population of 44 million Ukranians and thousands of soldiers will have to pay the consequences of that decision with their lives and peace.
