Some European energy firms are considering a two-tiered payment scheme, which would comply with Russian demands for payments in roubles. German provider Uniper is among those arguing the system would comply with EU law - although Brussels has warned that companies could breach sanctions, if they agree to the Kremlin's demands. Also in the show - the US economy unexpectedly contracts in the first quarter of 2022, and French unemployment drops.
