電影《椒麻堂會》沒多少人看過，但口碑和讚美早已在電影圈子裡流傳。 2021年，它在瑞士世界首映，斬獲洛迦諾國際電影節評審團大獎，在豆瓣開分更是高達9.0。電影講的是一個川劇小丑演員，在時代洪流裡跌宕起伏的一生，整部片子就在一個400m²的棚裡拍完，純手繪道俱生造的景兒，演員都是素人，主角原型是導演邱炯炯的祖父。

Not many people have seen the film “The Neo-New Adventures“, but praises have long been circulating in the film industry. In 2021, it premiered in Switzerland and won the Grand Jury Prize at the Locarno International Film Festival, with a Douban score of 9.0. The film is about the ups and downs in the life of a Sichuan opera clown actor in the torrent of the times. The entire film was shot in a 400m² studio, with pure hand-painted props on the set. None of the actors is a star, and the protagonist prototype is the director Qiu Jiongjiong's grandfather.
